Each day bits and pieces come together as to why we are back home in Illinois and why God has us here. But other times it doesn’t. It’s fuzzy and unclear.

Something that was said tonight in the message the our pastor, Dustin preached gave me a clue why we are in Freeport, IL. A small rural town in the Northern part of IL.

It’s to work on a community and teach others that Jesus loves them. Whether it be giving water on a warm summer day or Summer Harvest in what every town is around us.

But 1st we have to check our hearts and our motives. Everything we do has to be for God and not man. If we do it for ourselves it’s worthless. But if we do it for God it’s powerful.

We have done many things in the communities we have been apart of. We have helped people with food and clothing in Peoria. We helped a food pantry in Columbus which was awesome.

But what to do here….. We are listening to God and growing and working on so much. We are praying that God brings us a portable basketball hoop and water supply to help the neighborhood kids feel welcome and know the love of Christ. Opps forgot about Basketballs.

Where we live is behind an old church which the Lord has shown me has some meaning to our future. We don’t know what but it does.

Pray for us as we adventure and learn from the inside out to help our community.
