Opening New Doors

Today, after much prayer and much discussion and seeing where I am not going. It was time for a change.

Dan and I went to a new church this morning. Not a new church but new to us. It was only 10 mins away from home with a direction that we can be used. I was missing that since leaving Sycamore in May. For many of you that don’t know. Dan and I moved in April because the place where we were in Dekalb was not the place for us and it was time to move. We looked around DeKalb and Sycamore but being a college town there were no openings till May which was understandable.

We took it as God was closing a door there and that it was time to leave. We found a place right away in Southeast Rockford which was awesome. So we proceed to go to the familiar and go to our home church campus in Winnebago from May til today and I didn’t feel it was the right place for me. It wasn’t a place where I could use my talent and my knowledge and stuff. I felt stagnant.

Then things happened with Sycamore where the campus was no longer a part of our home church during this time. Made me think. So the last 2 weeks we weren’t at church do to weather and such. But, I have been praying and a few weeks ago we went driving and did a detour and found out what was down this street and saw a few churches there that were interesting but God made sure we saw Life Church and wondering what is was and more about this church.

We went this morning and my spirt was full of joy and I got to talk to Pastor who is an awesome lady and is very involved with getting the dream Center for Families 0-5 age kids which is awesome. We were talking about how we were a part of Freeport Dream Center and my connections and continued connections with companies and how I was able to fine needs that we had a message the companies about things that we needed.

Dan was able to talk to a few of guys and such and it was a good sermon. I am hoping that we can fit in here and find a better fit than where we were. Asking for prayers during this transition and asking for prayer for the Rockford Dream Center and it’s growth.
