You are in the Right place

About a year ago, Dan and I started searching for a new place to live. We lived in a nice so nice part of town and experienced many things and helped many people. We experienced Theft and bedbugs and squirrels tearing up screens and fights and gunshots and so much other stuff. But, that is what we could afford at the time and that’s what fit in our life and what we needed to move from our current situation and we stayed there 5 years and we grew and let God use us in many ways and places. I knew in my heart that it was time to leave. As I had felt that many other times in communties and places we had lived in the past 24 yrs of us being together.

So in April 2023 we moved from Dekalb after the doors their had closed and the housing market was full and things weren’t going the way they were suppose too. We ended up in Rockford trying to fit in. We started Easter Sunday at The Rock which was a place we had known and had stayed there for a few weeks. We even tried to serve there but God wasn’t ready for us there. Then in May or June, we decide ok We are familiar with Crossroads so we drove to Winneabago and they knew we were part of committees and such but everything was established and I saw them grow and things were set. It just didn’t feel the same. I could have gone up and worked in production since I had that calling early in what I was doing but didn’t feel the need to do anything at that time. So November came around and we had car problems and such so we missed a lot of church but God kept nudging me to try something new.

A few weeks before on a Saturday, Most of my friends know that Saturday I go to the Mobile food pantry and get the order I placed the week before. But off track, So we were driving back home and I decide to take right turn and go down 20th Street not sure why I knew it went over route 20 and I just wanted to see what was down that street. Not sure why I wanted to travel there or what I was going to find but God did. We continued to go to Winneabago til December. When God nudges us and we missed a few weeks because of other situations and such.

So we decided to go to New Life South Campus on that Sunday. We loved it. We met people and Pastor Norma and we were in the right place. We knew God wanted us here. I got to meet someone from my past and know God is going to heal that situation. That new doors and Ministries are open. That things I really want to do are going to be there and The people there are accepting of us and all our flaws.
