Families have their problems and mine is no different. Since my parents got a divorce in 1979. My mom’s family stopped talking to us. When my dad died 4 yrs ago. We lost contact with that side of the family.

Well, today my brother suffered a stroke and I told my sister that I was contacting the family and letting them know about him. She was like why would I tell them they don’t do anything for us.

But the Lord reminded me of Matthew 5:9, Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

So be the one who reaches out and start the conversation and begin the line of communication and don’t wait til something happens before you start talking.
