Well it’s simple. Many of you know that I work from home and that Dan is working at Wal-Mart and has been for the last 11 yrs. What you don’t know is all the struggles and other things that go with that.
Dan has nueropathy as well as weakness in his legs and bulging disk in his back. Now we just found out that he may have an onset of Parkinson’s. But not sure waiting for an official diagnosis which will be in April.
It’s hard to wait but learning each and every day the steps to take to help him and understand what is going is the hardest. Dan doesn’t vocalize a lot about what is going on and tries to figure out on his own how to do something and not want help from no one including me.
He will get frustrated. Which makes me frustrated to. He hates the snow, Ice and anything that will get under his feet and his walking. Which frustrates me into not knowing what is going on with him and what he wants to me to do. Then I get angry with him and He seems to think it’s because of him.
But it’s not it is because what is going on with his body and him not speaking it out and letting me know what he needs help with.
Thank God for neighbors who are willing to help and letting him know where it is icy and unsafe for him to walk or helping him up the stairs and across the sidewalk.
This is just a start and as I continue to write you will see me talk more and more about the miracles as well as the heart aches and the lives we are leading during this time of trails and understanding of it all.
