Time to think about gifts and what to get that person or another. Time to spend money that most of us don’t have to give to someone else and feel under appreciated.

I think that this year should be different. Thinking about the birth of Christ and not going commercial and getting everything and anything others want.

It happens a lot to a lot of people.  They loose focus and let all the busyness in their lives and let the things in their lives control them.  Not focusing on what is important this time of year.

It’s hard when you live on a fixed income and do other things to help supplement the income and it’s hard to say no to people. Well, I had to do that this week. My brother who has Parkinson’s and lives 2 hours from wanted me to go up there and pick him up and then take him 40 mins to another doctors appt.

It would have been possible if I had the money and clean clothes but I don’t. I don’t have either. We get paid on Wednesday and only have so much money to live on. We can’t buy that many gifts. We may not have gift for each other.

But, we believe God will supply what we need and what we have to have. If it is Luxury he will provide that too.

So as we are in the Holiday season. I ask that your focus be on God and not material things.
